A woman was getting ready to board a boat with a companion when she heard a meow from a vehicle parked on the beach.

Anna A. and a friend discovered a cat trapped inside a vehicle on the Greek island of Syros around six months ago. The small kitten was wailing and begging for assistance. They launched their rescue attempt with the agreement of the car’s owner.

While Filippi was in the care of other volunteers, Joan Bowell, the rescue service’s founder, began soliciting funds to send the kitten to the United Kingdom. Our hero embarked on his way to a new life two months later.

Filippi greeted his new feline brothers on the second day after arrival.
