The internet is in tears after Reddit user “abherna3” published a poignant photo of his cat Little Andrew on his last trip to the vet’s office. The Russian blue cat is clutching his owners’ hands in the snap, demonstrating how deep the attachment between a pet and its owner can be.
The owner Bernhard posted the photo on Reddit and added a caption: “Little Andrew was my junior. He was 15 and a half and loved every one, but just got old and sick over the last year. He purred every day of his life and when he lost that, I knew it was time… He held our hands on his last trip to the vet. Little Andrew was much stronger than his mom and I.”
Bernhard had kept the cat for fifteen and a half years, so we can all imagine how devastated he was when Andrew passed across the rainbow bridge. “He was a fantastic individual. He was always delighted to meet everyone, always won dog fights, and simply wanted you to be around all the time. Bernhard explained, “He just grew too weak to keep up.”
When Bernhard posted the photo to Reddit, he got a lot of love, condolences and support from other internet users about the loss of his pet.

Despite Andrew’s death, Bernhard is pleased that his memory will live on. “I’m really overjoyed that his tale has been continuing. He made me so happy, and I hope he continues to make other people feel good about their pets,” he said.
