After their owner died, Peanut and nine other cats were sent to a shelter. Peanut was immediately noticeable as being unusual when he initially arrived. He’s not only half-blind and deaf, but he also doesn’t look like most cats. Peanut is very lovely, and the shelter isn’t sure if it’s because of something that happened to him or if he was just born that way.
The way Peanut’s face and ears are positioned, he almost looks more like a bunny than a cat, and of course, it didn’t take long for someone to fall in love with that perfect face.
“I knew when I saw him that I couldn’t leave him there,” Sydney Benham, Peanut’s mom, told The Dodo.
Benham decided she had to take Peanut home after bonding with him and hearing his tale, and she did so in September 2020. Peanut was believed to be approximately 8 years old by the shelter, and it didn’t take long for the gentle senior cat to relax into his new home and show off his endearing old-man attitude.
